Pesia’s Kitchen - EAT
Education • Action • Together
Initiative is a blockchain-powered, community-driven food rescue program that reduces food waste, ensures food security, and promotes social and environmental responsibility. The EAT Initiative is powered by GoodDollar (G$), combining blockchain-based universal basic income with community-driven food rescue. By integrating financial security into food assistance, the initiative not only reduces food waste and ensures food security but also empowers volunteers and recipients with digital financial tools. This model guarantees transparency, accountability, and dignity for all participants.
How It Works
Surplus food is collected from logistics centers, markets, and donors.
Schools receive and distribute food to families in need.
Each food shipment is verified with uploaded invoices, ensuring full transparency.
Students and volunteers sort, package, and distribute food to the community.
Each participant scans a QR code, verifying their contribution and tracking impact.
To participate, students must onboard to GoodDollar, creating a digital wallet that connects them to blockchain rewards.
Students earn G$ rewards for their engagement, which they can:
Claim and use within the GoodDollar ecosystem
Donate
Trade or exchange on secondary markets
Community members in need visit designated food distribution points.
To protect their dignity and privacy, they scan a QR code upon receiving food without revealing personal details.
Onboarding to GoodDollar is optional for recipients. Those who choose to onboard can also earn G$ rewards, fostering economic empowerment beyond food aid.
